Miguel Castro was scheduled to speak at the Dayton .NET Developers Group meeting on Monday the 16th, but will apparently not be speaking due to weather; instead we'll have our local developer evangelist Jeff Blankenburg. Jim Holmes sent out this notice to the mailing list earlier today:
Mother Nature has worked her finicky ways and sent us a nice storm this weekend.
As a result, tomorrow’s meeting (Monday, 17 December) of the DevGroup will not be Miguel Castro speaking on Sexy Extensibility Patterns. Instead, we’ll get a fun look in to a bunch of cool technologies Microsoft’s been releasing. Sure, you’ve likely heard about Silverlight, but what about Popfly, Photosynth, or Seadragon?
Jeff Blankenburg, Microsoft’s regional Developer Evangelist, will be showing off a bunch of cool things you may not know about. Check out his blog on the topic at http://www.jeffblankenburg.com/2007/12/party-in-cleveland.html.
The meeting will be at the same time, 6pm, at Max Training’s Miamisburg facility: http://www.maxtrain.com/directions/#Dayton.
Don’t forget that we’ve got a lot of great stuff to give away for the year end meeting, including a $1,000 training certificate from Max, good for any course they offer!
I hope that Miguel will still make the Cincinnati meeting on Tuesday and maybe some Dayton attendees will make the trip down to Mason (not a long drive).
